Resources
Our goal here on the F4F Resources Page is to bring together other organizations that work with us and bring added value and services to our community of First Responders. Over the last several years we have seen a decline in morale throughout the fire service for a multitude of reasons all of which have led to a serious problem in mental health amongst our community.
At F4F we have seen this first hand with members reaching out to us for assistance that are dealing with increased substance abuse, domestic violence, and suicide across the country. We are tired of seeing our brothers and sisters hurting. We understand that there is an overwhelming amount of information out there and have decided to bring our community together and be the change we want to see. We are making this page so that you can stop by and find a resource that you may need or share with someone in whatever mental health capacity it may be.
As we are a unique community that deals with things that no one should ever have to see or deal with, we are actively seeking any and all therapies with providers and groups that understand first responders and military. If there is a resource you think we should add or know of an organization that would benefit our community, please reach out with the information so that we can look into adding it as another resource.

Leadership Books
Alone In The Fire
A decorated firefighter’s memoir about his defiance of a controversial order that ignited a worldwide parenting and leadership movement, The Raising Alphas Project.
“For my decision to defend my firefighters, I was thrown into a fiery furnace. I survived because the Fire inside me burned brighter than the fires around me.”
In 2021, Chief Officer Stephen Davis of Orange County Fire Rescue of Central Florida refused to reprimand his personnel over a Covid-19 vaccine mandate. The men and women he was responsible for had religious and medical exemptions – Stephen was told to write them up. He didn’t. For his courageous defense of our civil liberties, Stephen, a dedicated husband and father of two was promptly terminated just before Christmas.
This is a powerful memoir of courage in the face of scandal and leadership through the fire. From his early days serving in the United States Army as a medic, to battling raging house fires, to a sudden entrance into fame, meeting such influential public figures as Senator Ted Cruz, Governor Ron DeSantis, and former NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch, join Stephen on his remarkable journey from Fire Chief Officer to CEO.

One More Light
What changes would you make to your life if you could view it through the lens of a first responder? One More Light takes you on a journey with veteran firefighter and paramedic James Geering. As each chapter unfolds, the heart wrenching stories are coupled with a unique physical and mental health perspective about preventing tragedy and unnecessary suffering. It’s about maximising the wellness and fulfillment of one another.
